About Us

Ananth Jeevan wants to create awareness and try to break the stigma associated with mental health issues.
We would also like to journey with those going through these challenges by helping them with counselling and the support needed.
We intend to create a sensitive society that is empathetic and understanding to these issues.
Our vision is to see people having healthy & sound minds.
Our mission is to strive and achieve our objectives to bring about positive and lasting changes in our society.

WHO estimates that about 7.5% of Indians suffer from some form of mental health issue. One in six children and teenagers aged between 10-19 years of age suffer from depression which represents 86 million adolescents aged 15 – 19 years and 80 million adolescents aged 10 – 14 years with mental disorder.

Anxiety and depression make up about 40% of these diagnosed mental disorder. Other disorders include attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, conduct disorder, intellectual disability, bipolar disorder, autism, schizophrenia are a group of personality disorder.

Even before COVID-19, mental disorders of varying severity affected one in seven Indians. It adds up to about 200 million or 20 crore people having mental disorders in the country, according to the Global Burden of Diseases, Injuries, and Risk Factors Study (2017).
Nearly 80% of those suffering from mental disorders do not receive treatment for years, according to the National Mental Health Survey (NMHS).
